Attend a Commission Meeting

The Port Commission holds public meetings on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month, at noon. The public has the opportunity  to make comments, either live (in person) or online. Live and archived video can be viewed at https://meetings.portseattle.org

To sign up for public comment:

*To attend the meeting and comment in person: arrive a few minutes early and sign up at the meeting. Location: Second Tuesdays at Port HQ, Pier 69, 2711 Alaskan Way; Fourth Tuesdays at SeaTac Airport Conference Center, International Room (on the Mezzanine)

*To comment remotely: email commission-public-records@portseattle.org with your name and topic (cruise ships) before 9 am of the Tuesday you wish to speak to get in the queue and receive instructions on how to join the hybrid meeting. 

*Written comments can also be submitted to the same email, also before 9 am of the meeting day.

Tips:

*Speak from the heart

*Usually up to 2 minutes

*You will be asked to state your name and topic for the record; 2-minute timer starts after that.

*2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month starting at 12pm 

*The meeting starts with Port business, committee reports, etc. It could take half an hour until public comments begin. However, for remote comments, we are expected to be on the call by 11:45 for roll call. 

*Port Commissioners are elected and need to hear from community members about the things that matter to you
